Company History
Wing & A Prayer is dedicated to promoting contemporary dance for all generations.
Wing & A Prayer was founded in 1992 and became a non profit organization in 1996. We have consistently been the leader in contemporary dance for the entire northern Nevada region. Our goal is to make the highest quality contemporary dance accessible to everyone. To this end we offer full and partial sponsorships to any of our youth members whose families cannot afford our tuition, we keep our performance ticket prices low, we bring in several international caliber choreographers each year to set new works on the company, we collaborate with other local performance groups on performance projects and we perform in a variety of venues– several per year of which are for free and we make all of our performances fully accessible to the physically challenged.
